The University’s work compensation program covers employees of UK who work throughout the 120 counties within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Regardless of patient history, all needle sticks and sharps injuries should be reported.

Based on where the employee is physically located, and once they have been phone triaged by University Health Services (UHS), they may be sent to a local emergency department, immediate care center, or other like service. This is an arrangement we have as part of our managed care organization. The University follows all applicable work compensation rules and regulations, as outline by KRS 342.

Free On-Campus Battery Jump-Start Service:
Transportation Services offers free on-campus battery jump-start service. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere on campus for all valid UK parking permit holders and campus patients and visitors.
